redprincess: Late night. Went to see Michael Sheen’s Hamlet at the Young Vic. Absolutely brilliant. The best I’ve seen for years and years. It’s for those with eyes to see, something some critics clearly don’t have. But, then again, what’s new. They tend to like their tidy little boxes and rigid rules. Thus production breaks so many rules and yet, maintains a delirious dream- like quality that makes more sense of madness than any production I’ve seen. Oh, yes, it’s also very funny and moving. Afterwards dinner with MS. He is one of the truly gifted actors and an extraordinary enthusiast for thought and engagement.  -Terry Gilliam talks about Michael Sheen I agree with Terry.
